此書共分四部份，包括聖經根據 (Biblical Perspective)、 歷史中的教會 (Historical Perspective)、宣教與文化 (Cultural Perspective)及宣教與策略 (Strategy Perspective)，從聖經、歷史、文化及策略的角度深入分析普世宣教。全書共600多頁，裡面附有70多篇原書文章外，更挑選了十多篇華人學者，包括龍維耐醫生、溫以諾博士、蘇文峰牧師等的學者文章，更適合華人教會使用。
